ECUADOR, GALAPAGOS AND RAIN FOREST PACKAGE 16 DAYS
DAY 1: Assistance and transfer from airport to hotel in Quito. Hotels vary according to individual requests and include deluxe, first class, tourist superior or tourist class.
DAY 2: Departure from Quito. Visit Calderon with its typical ¨masapan¨ handicrafts, and the Indian market in Cayambe, Otavalo and Cotacachi where you will find leather goods. Finally, bear witness to beautiful Cuicocha Lake.
DAY 3: Ibarra and Yahuarcocha lake and the town of Peguche. Return to Quito.
DAY 4: Transfer from hotel to airport to take the Galapagos flight.

DAY 4 through 8: ITINERARY
Monday: San Cristobal - Lobos I.
Tuesday: Española-Punta Suárez-Gardner Bay
Wednesday: Floreana-Post Office Bay-Devil's Crown-Punta Cormorant
Thursday: Isabela-Puerto Villamil-Turtle Cove-Flamingos and Sharks Cove
Friday: Santa Cruz-Charles Darwin Station- Airport.
DAY 9: Take a flight from Quito to Lago Agrio. Reception at the airport and transfer by bus to Chiritza. 1 ½ hours southeast of Lago Agrio on the River Aguarico. Travel by dugout canoe until you reach Paradise Huts.
DAY 10: After breakfast, hike throughout the 110 acre forest owned by Paradise Huts and experience a dizzying array of species of plants, animals and trees, including the Ceibo Tree. Observe piranha fishermen along the Shushufindi River.
DAY 11: Visit San Pablo, the largest Secoya tribe community in the region, and observe their customs and way of life. Paddle an indigenously-crafted canoe down the Aguarico River.
DAY 12: Early breakfast followed by departure for Chiritza by canoe. Return to Lago Agrio for the flight back to Quito.
DAY 13: Visit the Guapulo mirador, Culture House and the Legislative Palace (Congress), Basilica Church, and the San Juan Mirador where you will be greeted by the sight of beautiful sight of Colonial Quito. The Independence Plaza to observe the Cathedral, the Government's Palace, and the Archiepiscopal palace, La Compañia Church where adornments and gold altars, the Sagrario Church and San Francisco and the Panecillo Mirador (entrance fee is included).
DAY 14: Departure with beautiful landscapes of the Ecuadorian highlands through the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes, Saquisili Indian Market. Visit to the small towns in the area. Dinner and accommodations at a hacienda.
DAY 15: Spend time at Cotopaxi National Park, treking through the amazingly beautiful natural wonderland. Visit Limpiopungo Lagoon and observe fauna and flora. Return to Quito for dinner and accommodations.
DAY 16: Transfer from hotel to airport to take departure flight. |
