Travel to the Galapagos

To reach the Galapagos Islands you must have to take a flight from the continental Ecuador. Departing from Quito or Guayaquil. The both of them make a stand by time in Guayaquil to take more passengers.

You have 3 ways to reach the Galapagos Islands airport in Baltra:.

1. Take a flight from Quito (UIO) to Guayaquil (GYE) and then in the same flight reach Baltra (GPS). This route take almost 2h15 minutes to reach Baltra airport.
2. Get first into Guayaquil and then jump by plane to Baltra airport.
3. Finally if you are in Cuenca town you must get a plane first to Guayaquil, and after that take the plane to Baltra in Galapagos.

The best way depends about your trip planning, so the time in flight could change, from Quito to Guayaqui is just 35 minutes of flight and Cuenca to Guayaquil is just 25 minutes.

Flights to the Galapagos leave Quito daily at 7am and 10am to Baltra and at 11am to San Cristobal passing through Guayaquil. Please contact us for special arrangements for flights not originating or terminating in Quito. Return flights arrive in Quito at 6 pm.

The trip from Guayaquil to Baltra takes 1 hour and 45 minutes more or less.

The prices change depends of travel season, the high season start at April and ends 16 of september, then again in november until the 15 of January. The rest of the year the airfares has a very good discount so try to keep it in mind when you travel to the Galapagos Islands.
